" History of creating a series of paintings "
The series consists of two stories (the series reveals the rights to self-expression in public space).
In the city of Lviv, I was detained by the local police for petty hooliganism (drawing graffiti on the factory fence) These canvases were created using rubber carpet letterpress printing. Which I borrowed without permission when leaving the Lychakov police station.
Together with Roman Bordun (documentary photographer), we recorded and filmed a series of interviews with ten street artists of the city of Lviv. On the topic of their personal stories, which are directly related to conflicts with the police caused by street painting.
The exhibition took place at the Detenpyla Gallery on December 11, 2021
the size of one canvas is 2x140 cm. total length is 7 m.
