Land art (Sculpture) "Resistance" 2024

I propose to create two projects "Tree Monument" and "Resistance"

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine. At the moment, as I write the description of the project, there have been 872 days of resistance.

My participation in this important undertaking will not only help preserve the priceless human experience of this war, but also make it accessible and understandable to the wider world.

Ukraine is currently going through one of the most difficult periods of its history, and this is important not only for our people, but also for the whole world. In these circumstances, each witness, each experienced moment becomes an invaluable source of knowledge and understanding. My goal is to help capture these moments so that they are not lost in the whirlwind of events.

By working on land art projects, I aim to contribute to the creation and preservation of an actual record of the war.

Proposal For the implementation of the project within the framework of "SEE:UA - connecting landscapes"

This sculpture was already realized in 2017. But unfortunately, during the same year, all sculptures created by artists were destroyed!!!

 From August 19 to 27, the "Baba Rod" international land art festival was held in the park "Znesinnia" (Lviv). Curators Serhiy Yakunin (Lviv), Oleksiy Konoshenko (Horlivka-Lviv), Pavlo Kovach (Uzhhorod-Lviv).

Authors of sculptures from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Uzhhorod, who are working on the implementation of the project: Nataliya Lisova,  Pavlo Kovach, Danylo Kovach, Serhiy Yakunin, Oleksiy Konoshenko, Anton Sayenko, Vitaly Kokhan, Vlodko Kaufman, Yury Vyshnyakov. During the festival, the American artist Leland Batey will also create his sculptures from wood.
