"history of creating a series of paintings"
the series consists of two stories (the series reveals the rights to self-expression in public space).
in the city of Lviv, I was detained by the local police for petty hooliganism (drawing graffiti on the factory fence)
These canvases were created using rubber carpet letterpress printing. Which I borrowed without permission when leaving the Lychakov police station.
Together with my friend Roman Bordun (documentary photographer), we recorded and filmed a series of interviews with ten street artists of the city of Lviv. On the topic of their personal stories, which are directly related to conflicts with the police caused by street painting.

2) Thing which is on the top is like thing which is on the bottom and thing which is on the bottom is like thing which is on the top. The semiotic image of the object - round mirror - the symbol of the sky, the square base of pedestal - a symbol of the earth. Per visibilia ad invisibilia - What is above is similar to the one below, what is below is similar to the one above. The mask with a long nose symbolizes the hidden person who eagers to know the world through the lense of himself. The eternal context of duality. The re ection of the mask/object is the only evidence of its presence and at the same time we can not see it as far as it is above the line of horizon, it's not reachable for our eyes and we can only believe in its reflection.

If the plant won't die, the seed will not have a reason to grow. Every new beginning has an end. A human being dies every day to be reborn.
The goal is to understand the unity and completeness, torn apart in time, just like 'Alpha' and 'Omega'. The latter complemented by the laws of life and moral, ethical values. A Christian is 'born' and christened to the tune of a prayer, dying to the songs of liturgy. What is created on Earth, must return to Earth.

The process of creating a series of canvases for the "Empatia" project reflects both the artist's internal struggle with his own emotions and ideas, as well as the external influences and expectations of society. Rebroadcasting an individual story as a refugee. So is an indifferent observer of the violence that is happening because of the war in Ukraine. Through "Empatia", the artist tries to reflect not only his own experiences, but also to create a work that opens a dialogue with the viewer and provokes his own reflections. The Empatia project raises deep questions about experiencing war at a distance.

"Deer" are copies of stencils from the 70s, which were used in Transcarpathia during the Soviet era. They were printed in colors close to realism, they were widely distributed. At the same time, Andriy Vargola, in New York, created his famous silk stencils, Marilyn Monroe and Campbells soups. If Andriy were to return to his parents' homeland in Transcarpathia (Medyllabortsi), he could create similar works. The series is dedicated to Andrii Vargola, a Rusyn by blood.

In this project in Chernivtsi, I continue the series of works "Welcome"
The idea of the project was to create two large 3x2 m canvases and a series of linocuts (installation sketches)
On the topic of "Soviet "liberation" terror". The works were located in two locations: the Local History Museum is located in the center of Chernivtsi at the address: str. O. Kobylyanska, building 28 and the Armenian Church of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul is an active Armenian Catholic church of the eastern rite in the city of Chernivtsi. It was built and consecrated in 1875, it functions intermittently during the stay of Soviet power in Bukovina. and a local history museum.
It was in these places in 1944 that brutal actions took place the then community of Chernivtsi. Such as stalking, wiretapping, abuse and murder. Violation of a person's right to freedom of worldview and religion in Ukraine, which in this context is closely related to historical events in the city of Chernivtsi.
Namely, the closing of the Armenian Church by the Soviet authorities to create a bomb shelter.
The paintings were created as part of the Art-Residence "Frontera Frustrate: Unspoken Identities"

‘Favourite landscape’ (manifesto)
WE DEMAND TRUTH, JUSTICE AND REPARATION!
The project (manifesto) emerged in the first month of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops in 2022 while in residence in Rietz Tyrol Austria under the Artist at Risk programme.
All the paintings depict a typical Ukrainian steppe landscape
on which the first towns and villages occupied by the invaders are printed with ‘children's cubes with Latin letters’.
Unfortunately, many people living in Europe are misinformed.
Therefore, with this series of works I want to express a manifesto against Russian crimes committed in Ukraine.
The people of Ukraine are experiencing a serious human rights crisis. Since Russia invaded in violation of international law, civilians, including children, have been killed in Ukraine - and many more lives are at risk every day. Tens of thousands of cases of war crimes have already been reported. Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a flagrant violation of the UN Charter and an act of aggression, which is a crime under international law. All those involved in this crime must be held accountable. Decisive action by the international judiciary and the international community is now needed to advance the investigations. Brief interview excerpt.
